Boys will be boys...

Warning: This post contains "potty" words so do not read if it will disturb you!

So the story begins...

Tim has been working out really hard and eating healthier to get back in shape. Part of this program is his new obsession with FIBER.

So, we are at Costcos (yes that is plural for a reason) the other day and he sees this massive box of chocolate chip fiber granola bars for 10 dollars. He assures me this is too good of a deal to pass up as he proceeds to put the whole CASE of fiber bars in our cart. I tried to tell him that these things give you really bad gas and make you go the bathroom A LOT and his response was "great!"

Needless to say, the past few weeks Tim has had lots of gas and so the boys have been very curious about this new, frequent noise. So, not only did Tim teach them the word "toot" but he also taught them to say "mommy toots" every time they hear a toot, even if I'm not in the vicinity. This is really embarrassing when we are out in public and the boys hear a sound that even remotely resembles a "toot" and they announce to everyone "mommy toot! mommy toot!" I just smile because I know if I even began to explain, it would just make things worse!

I'm hoping this is just a phase and the boys obsession with this will soon pass. However, as a mom of three boys, I am thinking this is just the beginning. And, there will be lots of hot air around this house for some time...remember we have a CASE of fiber bars in our pantry. :)

Support for Tyler

As many of you know, our nephew, Tyler, was diagnosed 2 months ago with a brain tumor. He is now at St. Jude receiving chemotherapy for brain cancer. A family friend is participating in this virtual bike ride to support Tyler and help to find a cure for cancer. If she wins, Lance Armstrong will put Tyler's name on his bike during the Tour de France. You don't have to give any money, you just sign up to "cheer" our friend on which supports Tyler. Thanks for checking it out!

Also, many of you ask often about Tyler and we so appreciate it. We are so encouraged to know so many are praying for this sweet boy. Tom and Jenn's blog is www.tomandjennbates.blogspot.com if you want to follow Tyler's progress more specifically.

Applesauce, mick-o-mouse & sun "beans"

This video is an excerpt from our spaghetti dinner the other night! The boys were on a roll so Tim did lots of filming. The beginning part includes them practicing the word applesauce and then they tell you about the famous Disney character on Mommy's shirt "Mick-o-Mouse." The finale includes a little song called "Sunbeam." The lyrics are as follows:
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam, a sunbeam, a sunbeam
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam...
To shine for Him each day...
The boys add their own little spin on the song and the sunbeam becomes a "sunbean," but it is really sweet!

Grandparents Galore!

Timily...:) I do love my husband and I couldn't ask for a better teammate in raising three kiddos!

Mimi wanted a pic of all three of her grandsons for Mother's Day...she got her wish although I am pretty sure it's not "exactly" what she had in mind! It's impossible to get three kids to look at the camera!

I can't figure out how to get this picture turned around right now..will work on it...it drives tim crazy when i put pics on the blog that are upside down..but, it's too cute not to put on here!

Mimi and the twins doing puzzles...
Pops and Luke at dinner...we tried The Love Shack for dinner and the burgers were incredible!

This is Bridget, Tim's cousin, who visited for a day from Michigan...thanks for making us priority to see, Bridget! Love all you Michiganders!
This is Caleb eating an orange (burnt orange, boooo!) cupcake from the table sitting next to us at dinner...needless to say, I used a LOT of OXICLEAN that night!
This is a picture from when Pops and Mere took us to see Peter Pan at Casa Manana at the kids theatre...the boys LOVED it! They sat still the whole time and Caleb kept saying "bye bye Hook" after the show...

After Peter Pan...we missed our cousin Tyler this time around...can't wait to go with you when you get home, Ty-Ty!
Mere-Mere and Caleb...

Chooch with his pjs on his head...

Mimi holding Luke...Caleb is giving his little brother a gentle pat..well, it was probably a rough one, but we are trying for gentle pats!

Papa and Caleb being very silly...
Matthew watchin' Elmo with his Mimi and Papa...

This is what Caleb does when you tell him to "smile" for the camera...

The boys crawling all over...they love to jump from this ottoman..Lord, help us!

This was a visit from Pops and Matthew and Pops played catch for a LONG time!

Mere-Mere snuggling Luke and Caleb...

We took the boys to the firestation to meet some firemen and see the firetrucks..they loved it..they said "nee-nah..nee-nah" all the way home!
