Sweet little twinkers...

Well, Daddy is busy at work today so Momma is posting....The boys are doing great and learning day by day to suck and swallow and take their 2 bottle feeds (the rest of their feeds are every 3 hours and given to them via their nasogastric tube). They are both taking about 50 ccs with each bottle feed with the exception of a few spit ups here and there. Sweet Caleb had an episode of projectile vomitting last night while the nurse was bottle feeding him which concerned us, but the nurse practicioner assured us today that unless the large spit ups or projectile vomits become more frequent, it is not anything to be worried about (thanks for calming my husband down, Tricia!!).

The boys both get to wear clothes now! We are having a field day with that of course! They are wearing clothes and their little heaters are being turned down so they can practice regulating their own temperature. Tonight we may get put the boys together for the first time since they were born because they are trying to move their little isolettes right next to each other. We still haven't gotten to see them right up next to each other. I know they must miss one another after being buds in my tummy for so long...

I would say the biggest prayers right now for them is that they would tolerate their feeds (no big spit ups), continue to improve their suck and swallow reflex so they can be bottle fed more and tube fed less, that they would be able to regulate their temps, and that they would gain weight (they are having a little trouble in that area right now, but hopefully it will improve). As for Tim and I, we continue to feel the love of Christ through everyone around us. God's Word continues to sustain us...Psalm 73: 28 But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge that I may tell of all your works.
