Well, with the busyness of fall and especially football season, Tim and I decided to take the boys on a getaway with our family of 4, soon to be 5! So, we loaded up the boys and took a RV trip to Mineral Wells. It was only for one night, but we had the best time! It was a much needed break for our family and was so peaceful to be outside and just hang out with our boys. We had homemade stew and cornbread for dinner and drank hot chocolate with the kiddos. Then, Tim and I played cards fireside and ate rice crispies and these amazing chocolate chip cookies that Tim made (best I've ever had and I LOVE chocolate) after we put the kids down. The next morning we went on a "nature walk" and the kids LOVED it! They love to point at the sky and say "pane" and "bird" and "zoom zoom" for cars that go by. They climbed on rocks and splashed in every single puddle possible (as you can see in the video below). There is just nothing like the smell and serenity of the outdoors (I can say this with full confidence since we had a rv to stay in overnight and it was only for 24 hours)!!! A good time was had by all!

Caleb just lounging away...

We only brought a couple of toys with us so the boys got creative and played in the laundry basket for forever...so fun!

Caleb playing with his car and saying "zoom, zoom!"

The boys were supposed to be winding down for bed, but instead they were wresting and pestering each other on couch!

Chooch in Daddy's RUF/RCU beanie...

Poor Caleb, he had to wear mommy's earmuffs which were a little less masculine!

Caleb loved to walk everywhere around the state park...he did NOT want to hold our hands! He is getting pretty steady and efficient at walking...it just took a little longer...:)

I love this picture of all of my boys!!!

Climbing on rocks...that's what we do!
