Who was born on Christmas?

Sweet little video of the boys before Christmas...

[Dad edit] I know to us it sounds like he's saying Jesus, but to you listening at home it probably sounds like "Cheetah". We were just really excited that our kiddos were somewhat able to say who was born on Christmas.

Good hands, Chooch!

I promised myself that I wouldn't be the parent that bragged about my child's athletic ability when he is only 18 months old, but watch Chooch catch this football...it's so stinkin cute!

RV TRIP 2009...Mineral Wells, Texas...

Well, with the busyness of fall and especially football season, Tim and I decided to take the boys on a getaway with our family of 4, soon to be 5! So, we loaded up the boys and took a RV trip to Mineral Wells. It was only for one night, but we had the best time! It was a much needed break for our family and was so peaceful to be outside and just hang out with our boys. We had homemade stew and cornbread for dinner and drank hot chocolate with the kiddos. Then, Tim and I played cards fireside and ate rice crispies and these amazing chocolate chip cookies that Tim made (best I've ever had and I LOVE chocolate) after we put the kids down. The next morning we went on a "nature walk" and the kids LOVED it! They love to point at the sky and say "pane" and "bird" and "zoom zoom" for cars that go by. They climbed on rocks and splashed in every single puddle possible (as you can see in the video below). There is just nothing like the smell and serenity of the outdoors (I can say this with full confidence since we had a rv to stay in overnight and it was only for 24 hours)!!! A good time was had by all!

Caleb just lounging away...

We only brought a couple of toys with us so the boys got creative and played in the laundry basket for forever...so fun!

Caleb playing with his car and saying "zoom, zoom!"

The boys were supposed to be winding down for bed, but instead they were wresting and pestering each other on couch!

Chooch in Daddy's RUF/RCU beanie...
Poor Caleb, he had to wear mommy's earmuffs which were a little less masculine!
Mommy and the boys at the picnic table drinking hot chocolate...

Caleb loved to walk everywhere around the state park...he did NOT want to hold our hands! He is getting pretty steady and efficient at walking...it just took a little longer...:)
I love this picture of all of my boys!!!
Chooch trying to escape!

Climbing on rocks...that's what we do!

Enjoy the video!

Ra-Ra-TCU and Thanksgiving Crafts

I went to my first TCU football game in 2 years and it was super fun! It was the Utah/TCU game and was great because TCU won big!
This is a pic Tim took from the ESPN gameday show which he woke up at 4 am to attend!

Halftime show at the game...
Bates family at the game...
Tim, Blake, Brian, Walt, Brad, Austen, and Jennifer the night before the big game...
Mommy and Chooch at Ms. Louanne's for thanksgiving craft day. The boys colored these cute little faces (well sort of colored!)
Caleb and Momma....he really liked to color, but also likes to eat the crayons...

When Grauntie Sharon was here, we took the boys to the park and they loved to SLIDE!

Mimi helped feed Chooch at Luby's after church...Btw, I LOVE Luby's...it is one of my favorite places to eat and I get so much grief over it from my husband and friends!

Caleb trying to tickle Papa's face...
This was at Luby's...the boys LOVED the balloons and now say "boon" everytime they see them! See, another great reason to go to Luby's---they give kids FREE balloons...

More pumpkin pics...

Oscar the Grouch H-A-T-E-D wearing this pumpkin outfit...so, it only stayed on long enough to get a picture!
Mr. Chooch did not care if he was wearing a pumpkin as long as he could continue to play "ball" with it on!
Sweet Matthew in his camou shirt...
Ready, Aim, Fire!!! (Chooch LOVES playing with balls...notice our lemon is the ball of choice in this picture)!

Caleb is finally smiling at the camera!

That ornery grin...melts my heart!
