Well, this is an exciting week in the Bates household. Tim will be officially done with school this week! He graduates with his MBA May 10th and we are so excited! He will now be able to work full-time with Glendarroch Homes and no more night class or papers or tests! God's timing is so good because it will be a huge blessing for him to be able to help out a lot when the twinkers arrive. Speaking of twinkers... we went to the doctor about a week ago and got a great report. The babies are almost 3 pounds a piece and in the 50th percentile for their size, which is great news for twins! We were also thankful to hear that despite an increase in frequency in my contractions, they are not causing any indications of preterm labor. The doctor said that everything looks great and the babies are doing really well at this point. We will go every 2 weeks now for the next month and then start going weekly at the end of May.
I am feeling pretty well overall, although this weekend I started having HORRIBLE heartburn and reflux. But, the doctor gave me some great recs for meds and they are now helping. I am just trying to be more careful about what I eat and have been sleeping in an upright position which seems to help. Tim has been really great about dealing with my whininess all week. I think I have sent him to Walgreens at least 5 times in 48 hours! Anyway, after a tough day and me still not feeling well, I came home from work yesterday to find my favorite flowers, a get well balloon, a gift card to one of my favorite stores, my favorite magazines, a huge vanilla milkshake, and every heartburn medicine my doctor approved on the counter. He has been so supportive and helpful through this entire pregnancy and I am so grateful!
This is our new baby glider, extra wide for a babe on each side!
